Dell is again running their Small Business Excellence Award for innovative use of technology. What I love about this is that improving the customer experience is one of their criteria for winning:
Entrant will be required 1) to demonstrate how the company has used technology to improve customer experience. They must show how they've driven a significant change within their company and/or developed a competitive advantage by delivering superior customer value and experience (50% of score); 2) to describe how they have made the customer "number one." Customer testimonials can be used as examples of how the customer's experience has improved over time (50% of score)
The award is offered in partnership with the National Federation of Independent Business in the US, and RBC Royal Bank in Canada. For information on other countries, check the Dell home page for the country.
Deadline for entries is February 24. The $30,000 prize is certainly worth the effort to apply. Even better is the chance to spend time talking with Michael Dell.
Thanks to Notebook News for bringing this to my attention.
