Transmedia is the new word people are using to reference the process of telling a story through multiple media. It's a nice, short, evocative and useful word. Throw it out in a few meetings this week and see what kind of reaction you get.

Multi-channel marketing was all supposed to be neat and tidy too, and look at the complexity we face there!
Remember when the internet was going to kill bricks and mortar? Instead, you now have to plan for a multiplicity of paths through awareness to purchase, and after purchase engagement even.
So Transmedia is likely a story that will not be as easily defined as it looks like right now either.
Consider that you may already be telling your story in multiple media (such as your brand story, your PR story, your professional profile story). You might be doing that well, or you might be doing that badly.
