An interesting article on Decent Marketing about the Banking Experience, asking why the whole concept is so stuck in tradition: Decent Marketing: The Banking Experience.
I've always wondered why bankers are so stuck in the traditional thinking of what a bank should be, since it seems to me there are so many opportunities to create an interesting and compelling experience around money.
Even more interesting are the comments posted in response, one of which is a pitch from Umpqua Bank. They are pretty innovative, actually, but this was quite remarkable. So I have sent them an e-mail asking them what they are up to here. If I get a reply, I'll let you know.
